Mini Environmental Education Centre, Mangrove Nursery and Composting Facility – Indibedda
 
Objective:
Restoration and conservation of mangroves and species living in the lake waters
Introducing and propagation of composting
Educating farmers in the use of compost fertilizer and organic farming
Educating the visitors and the general public, especially the youth, in the environment and specifically, the protection of wetlands
Providing better facilities to the visitors to the area 		 
 
Proposed activities:

Construction of an Environment Education Centre
Educating the public through information by means of publications, presentations and guided tours
Conducting awareness raising programs
Getting the community and the general public interested in the environment, especially the wetlands
Collecting information and facilitating and conducting research studies
Construction of a boat yard
Facilitating the visitor in exploring the lake and its surroundings
